One of the world's great museums, in Bloomsbury, founded in 1753 and home to a vast collection from every continent. Famous objects include the Rosetta Stone, sculptures from the Parthenon and Egyptian mummies. The Great Court, with its glass roof, sits at the centre of the building. It is easy to spend a whole day here and still not see everything.
