The world's largest museum of applied arts and design, in South Kensington, which grew from the 1851 Great Exhibition. Its collections cover fashion, furniture, jewellery, ceramics, sculpture and photography from around the world. The Cast Courts, with their plaster copies of famous monuments, are among the most unusual rooms.
