An arts centre on the waterfront at Salford Quays, with theatres, galleries and a large collection of paintings by L. S. Lowry, after whom it is named. It opened in 2000 and presents theatre, comedy, music, dance and exhibitions. The building's angular design and its setting by the water make it a landmark of the area.
