A gallery of modern and contemporary art on Liverpool's Royal Albert Dock, opened in 1988 as the northern sister of the Tate in London. It shows works from the Tate collection alongside changing exhibitions. The building is a converted warehouse on the waterfront, close to the Merseyside Maritime Museum and the Beatles Story.
