A museum in Manchester on the site of the world's first passenger railway station, which opened in 1830. It tells the story of the city's role in the Industrial Revolution, with working textile machinery, steam engines and historic aircraft and locomotives. The buildings themselves are part of the story, so there is plenty to see outdoors as well.
