The largest theatre in London's West End, opened in 1904 and designed by Frank Matcham, with a famous globe on its tower. It is the home of English National Opera, which sings in English, and also hosts major ballet and dance companies. The grand auditorium and its ornate decoration are a good reason to visit in themselves.
