A castle in the middle of Cardiff with almost two thousand years of history layered on one site. It combines a Roman fort wall, a Norman keep and the lavish Gothic Revival apartments that William Burges designed for the Marquess of Bute. The grounds make a pleasant place to walk, with views of the city from the keep.
