Bruce Foxton

BRUCE FOXTON '50 years of The Jam' Tour + very special guests: THE LAYNES The Jam released their debut single 'In The City' in 1977 on Polydor Records. Over the next five years The Jam became one of the most important groups that the UK has ever produced with #1 singles such as 'Start!', 'Going Underground', 'Town Called Malice' and 'Beat Surrender'. Bruce Foxton was the bass guitarist on every recording The Jam ever made. He was also lead vocalist and songwriter on songs such as 'News of the World' (which is the theme tune to BBC's 'Mock The Week' TV show), 'Smithers-Jones', 'Carnaby Street' and more. In 2027, Bruce Foxton will be celebrating 50 years of The Jam along with his band Mark Brzezicki (Big Country), Andrew Fairclough (Secret Affair) and Craig Joiner (Romeo's Daughter) along with very special guests. The tour ends in Brighton in December 2027 45 years after the last ever concerts by The Jam in Brighton in 1982. Formed from the ashes of Power Pop band New Hearts, Secret Affair built their reputation with sell out shows at the Bridge House in Canning Town, London and with a high profile support slot on The Jam's 1979 tour. Secret Affair went on to have 5 x Top 40 singles, 'Time For Action', 'Let Your Heart Dance, 'My World', 'Do You Know?', 'Sound of Confusion', and 3 acclaimed LP's, 'Glory Boys', 'Behind Closed Doors' and 'Business As Usual', released before splitting in 1982.
